In 2003 we bought the first three head of registered Hereford cows
for dL Cattle Company. These three cows were bred to Black
Hereford bulls from the J&N Ranch of Leavenworth Kansas. Our herd
is still small, but we are building it as fast as possible without
sacrificing any of the standards we have set for our cattle.
The Black Herefords are a infant breed that we here at dL Cattle
Company believe have lots of promise. We have crossed some very
good Hereford cows with our herd bull and are seeing some very
good calves out of the cross.
The horses that are being raised at dL Cattle Company come from
bloodlines such as Peppy San Badger, Freckles Playboy, Doc
Hickory, Zan Par Bar, and Smart Little Lena. They are cow horses
through and through. They will perform in the show ring and in the
pasture.
The philosophy here at dL Cattle Company is "If you aren't getting
better you're backing up." That is why our motto is: " All you'd ever
want and nothing you'll never need." We strive to provide that to
anyone who calls us or stops by our place and that is why we are
always breeding, and striving for better cattle and better horses. We
want to provide the best product possible for today's cattleman. In
the grass and on the rail; in the pasture and in the show ring; we are
going to do all we can to make our animals CHAMPIONS!
